So I had breakfast for dinner, nothing wrong with that! I came here for dinner on a Saturday night, but luckily the wait wasn’t too long. Despite being dinner, the most appealing items on the menu were the breakfast items, which are served all day. While she was notdirectly rude to us, she kept arguing with a fellow server about tips not being distributed properly and arguing about how anymore customers that came in would go upstairs instead of the bottom unless they were ?nasty?.This location is fairly new, but it’s already attracted quite a crowd. I think someone at McDonald?s would embarrass theirstaff by the manners they have.īefore leaving it seemed Laura the server was very passive aggressive. Thefood is great! The service at THIS particular location was BEYOND horrible. If you can avoid coming here, I?d recommend that. We stayed because we had absolutely nochoice but to eat (we were seated and our son made himself comfortable). Surprising they were very quick to judge andautomatically put our son in a category with other children who probably misbehave. Wewere given 2 crayons from the package and were told ?crayons are provided upon request and even then we only give them 1 soconsider yourselves lucky because they end up breaking them and throwing them.? We then asked for crayons (customary for them to give you crayons for the kiddos to color and keep them busy). We had to ask if we were supposed to ?seat ourselves? to which we were told: ?No but yes, please take a seat right here in front of us? mind you there was 3 workers and about 4 families eating (meaning the restaurantwas DEAD). Once we got here after leaving Magic Mountain we waited 10 minutes beforesomeone could show up to the stand. It?s hard to rate this because our family TRULY enjoys black bear diner restaurants! Food is great and service is USUALLY. It was a great surprise to have decent food, large portions, and really good coffee at a chain conventionalbreakfast spot. We ended up packing it up and taking it with us with the restof the leftovers. They didforget to bring our english muffin side until the end of the meal. Our kid enjoyed hisbreakfast burrito without meat.another giant portion which even he, with all his teenage eating prowess, could notfinish.Īnd my wife was fine with her benedict meal served without bread (no gluten-free breakfast bread option.) Too often conventional breakfast places serve up weak coffee which just doesn't do the job.The mug they served me was filled with a bold, strong coffee that I would drink over and over. This was a generous-sized thing on its own and tasted as good as a pancakeshould. They were nice enough to sub asingle "Sweet Cream Pancake" as my bread option. They were cooked perfectly but lacked seasoning so were a bit bland. I had the "No Meat, Just the Eggs Please" which was a good amount of egg whites and an insaneamount of crispy hashbrowns. (Though the only gluten-free breadoption is a hamburger bun.) The portions were huge so you definitely won't go hungry here and there are a million things to choosefrom, as well as plenty to eat for vegetarians, and gluten-free folks will do okay too. breakfast items in a bear-themed environment (without all the growling and mothers protecting their young which you get whenreal bears are around.) It's a chain breakfast place where you can get lots of basic. We had a good experience at Black Bear Diner in Santa Clarita.
